Dear Voter,

I am running for re-election because I want to continue to serve you as a voice for the common sense policies that keep our county exceptional.  You’ve counted on me to protect the county’s finances, our environment, public safety, and vital social programs that serve foster children and the elderly in our nursing homes. I have worked hard to live up to that trust and am proud to say that even in these tough economic times, the long-term health of Ventura County government is strong. The county’s budget is balanced and reserves are growing.

This is an important election with difficult challenges ahead for local government. It will take the same common sense approach to good government that I have always employed to meet tomorrow’s challenges.  I hope you will take a few minutes and review my Record of Accomplishments in serving the people of Ventura County.

I hope you will support my re-election to the Board of Supervisors and together we can keep Ventura County exceptional for our children and their grandchildren.
